This whole episode was very interesting. Personally, it would be comforting to know that all misinformation spawns from a few bad actors, but this example points out the power and legitimacy of different sources of propaganda (for the most literal definition of propaganda). I was also struck by the complications resulting from information being lost as posts are shared across social media channels.
